In the making of a new nation, at times before our statehood, words of our needs and cry of wants were somewhere lost in translation in its travel to distant Delhi. Our Founder Editor established the First English Newspaper in the State , Tripura Times in 1960 as a clarion call from this corner of the country, with a vision to champion the true mirror of state of affairs.

Started as a weekly newspaper, it has today evolved into the largest circulated English daily Newspaper in the state . Along the rise it has time and again re-affirmed its ethos and never let sensationalism out-shine sense.

But our pride has been our team of Journalists, overs the years , to which we have added many great names . And a network of reporters which runs through the length and breadth of the state to bring the news from the very last steps of our society to our readers.
